Hole sponsors

A sign is seen. A card is tapped, and we can tell you which.

You are already paying for hole 7. The difference is that the golfer standing on hole 7 gets your offer on their phone, with a button that calls you, opens your site or navigates to your door, while they are still on the course.

What you get

The card, and the button on it

Your card carries your business name, one headline offer, a short message and a single button. The message is capped deliberately short, because a golfer reads it standing on a tee box, not at a desk.

  • Call ahead dials you, which is the one that matters for a kitchen.
  • Visit site opens your page.
  • Directions starts navigation to your address.

A hole’s card can also carry the button that summons the refreshment cart, which is how the turn and the beverage sponsor end up on the same screen.

A sponsor card on the hole screen: the heading Sponsored this hole, the business name, the offer text, a highlighted headline offer and a Call ahead button.
The card as the golfer sees it, on the hole the sponsor paid for.

The report

Five numbers, all of them counts

After the event the organizer sends you a page and a CSV with your own lines on it. There are no rates and no percentages anywhere on it, because a rate hides how small the denominator was.

LineWhat it counts
Received itOne row per attendee the card was delivered to. A given golfer receives your card once.
Opened itThe message itself was opened on the device. A banner appearing on a lock screen is not an open, and we do not call it one.
Still there a minute laterThe phone was confirmed on your hole sixty seconds after the card arrived. Presence, not attention.
Tapped the buttonBroken out by call, website, email and directions, plus the golfer tapping to say they are going.
Turned up at your addressA phone that received your card was later seen in the map cell your street address geocodes to.

The visit line is the one no sign, banner or radio spot can produce. It also depends entirely on your street address resolving to a location, which is why the console warns the organizer at setup when it does not.

Getting your offer in

Today it goes through the organizer

The organizer enters your business and address on your hole, then writes your offer as the card. They can preview exactly what the golfer will see before anything goes live, so the version you approve is the version that ships. In practice you send them a headline, a sentence and which button you want, and they read it back to you.

Your report comes from the organizer. Their dashboard on this site holds every hole, every sponsor and the delivery log for the event, and the report can be filtered to your hole and downloaded as a CSV. Ask them for it after the horn, or ask us and we will make sure it reaches you.

Running the tournament rather than sponsoring one?

The organizer side is three inputs before the day and a report afterwards.
